A defining Rolex of the neo-vintage era, the Ref. 16710 delivers the classic GMT-Master II formula in one of its most versatile and enduring configurations. We are pleased to offer this classic 40mm example from the final generation of GMT-Master II watches fitted with an aluminum bezel insert. Featuring a P-serial number dating to approximately 2000, this example pairs the slimmer Ref. 16710 case with a black and red serif font anodized aluminum bezel and original gloss black dial and handset. The dial and handset remain in excellent condition, with Super-LumiNova-filled markers and hands, and the “SWISS MADE” dial. The watch retains its original Rolex Oyster bracelet with 13 links and a DE1 date code from 2001. The original aluminum bezel insert shows honest signs of wear, with some light fading and superficial scratching, giving the watch naturally aged character. Powering the watch is Rolex Caliber 3185, with an independently adjustable local hour hand for tracking multiple time zones. This timepiece is in nice overall condition, showing minor superficial scratching to the sides of the case and bracelet, along with a few small dings to the case sides. The watch is accompanied by a Rolex Service Card dated December 1, 2015.
