This unpolished 40mm stainless steel Rolex Sea-Dweller, reference 16600, showcases an amazing overall transition throughout both the dial and handset, with a level of aging and character that is increasingly hard to come by. The dial is particularly noteworthy, with tritium indices that have developed a deep, uniform creamy tone, an attribute that is increasingly hard to come by, perfectly complemented by the original handset, which has aged in seamless harmony to the same warm hue. The X-serial case dates production to approximately 1991.  The insert surrounding the dial remains in good condition, showing only light surface wear consistent with age. The watch is fitted with a Rolex 93160 Oyster bracelet featuring 12 links and a dive extension. The bracelet carries an S3 clasp code, dating it to March 1994, and shows only very minimal stretch. This unpolished timepiece is in nice overall condition, with the exception of superficial scratches throughout the case and bracelet and minor dings on the sides of the case. There is minor cracking on the internal portion of the lume pip. The watch crystal also shows slight abrasions along the rim, along with very light surface scratches. All in all, this timepiece remains a strong, well-preserved Sea-Dweller with desirable aging and character.The watch is fitted to a Rolex 93150 Oyster Bracelet with correct 580 end links and a B date code, corresponding to 1977 production. The bracelet includes 11 links along with the dive extension in the clasp and shows only minor stretch consistent with careful wear over time. The watch retains its original bezel insert in great condition, and the correct “top hat” acrylic crystal is exceptionally clean, completing the unmistakable vintage character of this outstanding Submariner.
