The Santos de Cartier Large Model is an iconic timepiece rooted in aviation history, originally created in 1904 when Louis Cartier designed one of the world’s first wristwatches for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. This modern interpretation features a 39.8mm stainless steel case with Cartier’s signature exposed screws, a sapphire crystal, and a 7-sided crown set with a faceted synthetic spinel. It showcases a silvered opaline dial with classic steel sword-shaped hands. The watch comes fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with Cartier’s SmartLink adjustment system and also includes a second calfskin strap; both bracelets are equipped with the QuickSwitch interchangeability system for easy strap changes. Slim at just 9.38mm thick, the Santos offers timeless design, everyday wearability, and unmistakable Cartier heritage. This timepiece is in good condition, with the exception of superficial scratching throughout the case and bracelet. Accompanying the watch is its original inner box, outer box, Cartier Booklet, additional leather strap, strap tool, and warranty card, dated in December 2022.
